FAQs

Q. What is your service area?

A. We service the cities of Bryan and College Station – and all of Brazos County. We may be available to provide service if you live outside Brazos County, on a case-by-case basis, but travel time and distance are factors that may affect the cost of service.

Q. What services do you provide?

A. We offer mid-day walks for working “parents”…in-your-home visits while you are away (business trip, vacation, hospital stay, weekend get-away, etc.)…pet chauffeur service to/from your choice of destination (vet’s office, groomer, etc.). In general, our service is tailored to you and your pets’ individual needs. We want to care for your pets using your same daily routine. (See the Services and Rates section of this website).

Q. What do you charge?

A. We charge $17 for a 20-30 minute visit. That is our rate…we do not charge any additional fee for holiday service, key pick up/return, emergencies, etc.

Q. If I have a family emergency and must leave town suddenly, can you help me?

A. Yes. Just give us a call (979-690-7874), and we’ll work out the details.

Q. Will such an unplanned/unscheduled service cost more?

A. No. There is no additional service charge for emergency service. Our standard $17 per 20-30 minute visit remains in effect.

Q. How do I get started?

A. You already have (by visiting this site – Thanks!). If you select us to be your sitter, we at Phil’s Pet Sitting Service are truly honored and committed to providing you the best pet care available. Next, please contact us (phone call or email), so that we can schedule our initial Introductory Meeting with you. We will come to your home, meet you and your pets, determine the customized service you require, and complete the necessary forms that establish our working relationship. Or, if you prefer, you may fill out the forms on the website, and we’ll do the rest.

Q. Where do you keep my house key?

A. Johnny is a security professional with over forty years of experience. He supervises our internal security program and will use his professional security expertise in caring for your home while you are away. Your name, home address, house key, electronic door opener, and alarm code will be well protected at all times. Johnny can provide a detailed security briefing of our Home Security Service to you during our initial Introductory Meeting.

Q. I just moved to the area. Can you recommend a veterinarian?

A. Yes. We highly recommend our family vet, Dr. Powell Knight, along with Dr. Renee Lara, and Dr. Melissa Bump of Kingdom Animal Hospital, 824 E. Villa Maria Road, Bryan. Office phone: (979) 823-5495; after hours phone: (979) 845-2351.

Q. When is payment due?

A. Payment is due at, or prior, to the time of the first visit, unless other arrangements have been made.

Q. Are you insured and bonded?

A. Yes. We have bodily injury and property damage insurance through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC, and are bonded through Pet Sitters International.
